Methodology

The Women in Financial Advice Awards are open to those working within both the financial advice community and among the broader financial services sector in the UK. Certain categories are only open to financial advisers or planners, while other categories are not open to financial advisers or planners. The organisers of the Women in Financial Advice Awards at Professional Adviser reserve the right to move nominees to a different category from the one they were nominated within, if they believe it is appropriate to do so.

Nominees can be involved in roles relating to UK-based financial advice, adviser support services, platform provision, investment, retirement and protection - including but not limited to management, strategy, product development, marketing, communications, sales, compliance, human resources or front, middle or back-office operations.

Please note: a person can only be nominated in a maximum of three categories. Women currently on maternity leave may certainly be nominated.

Once nominations have been received, the nominee will be contacted and forwarded a list of questions that they will be required to complete in order to progress to the next round of judging.

A shortlist will then be created from which an expert panel of judges will decide the winners in each category. Factors the judges will take into account include achievements in the workplace; evidence of contributions to support and inspire women; and the overall quality of the submission.

The awards focus on the previous calendar year and, as such, the judges have been asked to attribute significant weight to relevant achievements accomplished since 1 January 2024. The winners will be announced on 6th November 2024.

How to nominate

Please note: Only entries via the nomination system will be considered. It is up to nominators to ensure contact details of those being nominated are correct.

The organisers of the Women in Financial Advice Awards reserve the right to: close a category should the quality of entrants be deemed insufficient; remove an entry if, in the opinion of the judges, the criteria have not been followed; or suggest another more appropriate category for a nominee. The panel will take into account nominee responses as well as third-party research, such as websites and social media. The panel reserves the right to use public voting where appropriate.

The chairperson's decision is final.
