Understanding the sustainability credentials of an adviser business and how this can relate to the path to Net Zero

Reaching Net Zero, or even getting close to it, is a massive undertaking. It will require the involvement and cooperation of governments, businesses and individuals on a global scale. Gillian Hepburn, Head of UK Intermediary Solutions, and Ben Popatlal, Multi-Asset Strategist will discuss with Philip Martin what Net Zero actually is, what it means for advisers and their clients and how to factor this into investment portfolios.

They’ll also discuss a new scorecard which Schroders has developed to help advisers consider sustainability practices within their own business.

By the end of the session the delegates should be able to:

  • Explain what ‘Net Zero’ really means and why it is important
  • Understand the impact this could have on clients’ portfolios
  • Identify the effects of climate change and decarbonisation
