Having operated within financial services as an independent financial adviser for 20+ years, Ray now focuses on developing technology to help solve pain points within our profession and enhance the financial planning process for both financial advisers and their clients. In 2014 he founded CashCalc, developing an award-winning suite of online financial planning tools for financial advisers, including Client Onboarding, Integrations and the UK’s market leading Cashflow Modeller. Today, following FE fundinfo's acquisition of CashCalc in May 2021, his role as Head of Cashflow Planning and Digital Engagement sees him continue to develop the online suite of tools and deliver the company's strategic roadmap. Ray still remains ‘at the coalface’ of financial advice, with his role as Chairman of Niche seeing him focus on company strategy while also providing independent financial advice to a small number of clients – this enables him to stay up to speed and identify areas within our profession which could be improved.
