David is an investment specialist for the Monthly Income Strategy within the clients department and also Chairs the Monthly Income Product Group. David joined Baillie Gifford in 2022 with responsibility for UK Adviser relationships. Prior to this, David was an Investment Director at Investec in Edinburgh and the Channel Islands, where he spent twelve years managing multi-asset portfolios on behalf of private clients, trusts and advisers. David graduated MA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Aberdeen, and then PG Dip in Journalism at Edinburgh Napier University. He is a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Chartered Fellow of the CISI.
