Jock is responsible for the development and delivery of strategy across both research and consulting functions as well as team and project management. Prior to joining Square Mile, Jock was a Managing Director at JP Morgan Asset Management, where he worked in the Investment Trust business for 7 years and the European Equities team for 6 years. He was previously sales director of investment trusts at Close Finsbury Asset Management and before that was a private client investment manager at Rathbones. Jock is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities & Investment Institute and holds the SFA Registered Securities qualification.
Peter began his career at Holden Meehan, an independent wealth manager, in 1989. He joined Forsyth Partners in 1994 as a senior mutual fund analyst and was appointed Chief Investment Officer in 2000. He was responsible for the management of traditional and alternative multi asset funds, with assets at their peak in excess of £1.5 billion. He was co-founder of the original Forsyth-OBSR Ratings Service in 2002. He joined OBSR in 2008 and was responsible for establishing the firm’s fund advisory business as well as continuing to conduct manager research. As Investment Director, he worked closely with Head of Investment Consultancy, Gill Hutchison, and they were responsible for the delivery of services to an array of different clients and were important influencers of fund flows in the UK. The Adviser Centre was launched in May 2014 whilst Peter was employed by City Financial. He transferred to Embark in October 2016, following the group’s acquisition of The Adviser Centre.
Alex has many years of financial services experience which ranges from Discretionary Fund Management, Corporate Finance, Banking, Capital Raising, Private Equity to Venture Capital. Alex started managing a discretionary fund management business in South Africa and Mauritius, where he designed and managed model portfolios for financial advisors and wealth management firms across the world. Alex joined Benchmark Capital in August 2019 as the Groups Chief Investment Officer and is responsible for all Portfolios and Funds managed under the Groups' discretionary permissions. Alex holds a Bcom Honours in Financial Analysis (Cum Laude) from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa and is a CFA Charterholder.
Lucy is a Director in our Clients Department. She is also a Managed Fund Product Specialist. Before joining Baillie Gifford in 2013, Lucy spent four years at Ernst and Young in their Assurance and Transaction Support departments. In 2012 she qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Lucy graduated BA (Hons) in Politics from the University of Durham in 2009.
Rob joined Orbis in 2011 and is an investment counsellor and a member of the Orbis multi-asset investment team. Rob holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree and a Master of Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University, and is a CFA charterholder.
Robert Wakefield is a Multi-Asset Product Specialist in London and has been working in the financial industry since 2007. He is now responsible for HSBCs multi-asset investment capabilities, covering existing strategies and new product development.
Vincent McEntegart is an investment manager in the Multi-Asset Group with over 30 years’ industry experience. He joined us in 2013 from Goodhart Partners (an MBO of the multi-manager business of WestLB Mellon Asset Management) where he was a partner responsible for client relationships and new business. Prior to this, Vincent was Co-Head of Investment Manager Research at Hymans Robertson and a senior member of the investment consulting practice. Vincent has also worked for Alexander Clay Consulting (now part of Aon) and Clerical Medical Investment Group. He has a BSc in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Strathclyde and a Diploma in Actuarial Techniques from the Institute of Actuaries.
